An example of the kind of build we do, not a client story. The persona is illustrative; the pain points are real in how this work actually runs.
Belt-progression and attendance tracker for a martial arts studio
Who
The owner and head instructor of a family karate studio who tracks attendance on paper sign-in sheets and belt progress in a binder of index cards.
The pain points
Before every grading he spends evenings cross-referencing sign-in sheets against the binder to figure out who has enough classes to test, and parents constantly ask when their kid grades next.
He trialled gym-management software, but it centred on billing and marketing funnels he doesn't need, cost more per month than a student pays, and still made belt tracking an afterthought.
What we would build
A Windows app on the front-desk computer: students tap their name on a check-in screen, the app counts classes against his own belt requirements, and one click before a grading prints the eligible-to-test list plus a parent notice for each eligible student.
All data stays on the studio's own computer.
