The story behind the name
Prometheus was the Titan who gave fire to humanity. In the old stories, fire meant far more than warmth: it meant knowledge, craft, and the power to build. He handed it to ordinary people, against the wishes of the gods who wanted to keep it for themselves.
We took the name because that is the idea we care about: putting powerful tools in the hands of small businesses and individuals, not just the companies big enough to afford them.
So every tool we build is meant to do one job well, stay reliable, and cost a fraction of what the incumbents charge. No bloat, no lock-in, no enterprise sales call to find out the price.
