The story behind the name

Prometheus was the Titan who gave fire to humanity. In the old stories, fire meant far more than warmth: it meant knowledge, craft, and the power to build. He handed it to ordinary people, against the wishes of the gods who wanted to keep it for themselves.

We took the name because that is the idea we care about: putting powerful tools in the hands of everyday people, not just the companies big enough to afford them.

What we make

Three tools are live today:

• Photo Admin: a browser app that renames, crops, shrinks and converts a whole batch of photos at once.
• Trademark Search: one search across the United States and Canadian trademark registers, with a free quick search and a paid Clearance Report.
• Form Digitizer: turns photos of paper forms into fillable PDFs and spreadsheets.

Each one has its own website. You can see all three on the products page. Trademark Search is built on United States and Canadian government trademark data.

Prometheus Labs is based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Questions about a product? Get in touch.
