Practitioner pay-split calculator for a physiotherapy clinic
Who
A physiotherapist who owns a clinic with four physios and two massage therapists, all paid a percentage of what they bill. Payday math is her most-hated evening of the month.
The pain points
Each pay period she exports the raw billing report from her booking software and rebuilds the same monster spreadsheet: every practitioner's treatments, minus refunds and no-shows, times that person's individual split rate, with different rates for different services. It takes a full evening, and a single copy-paste error means an awkward conversation with a practitioner about being underpaid.
Her booking software exports the data but flatly does not do split-rate pay math, and full payroll systems don't understand percentage splits on billings.
What we would build
A drop-the-file-in tool on her computer: she drags in the billing export and gets back a clean pay statement for each practitioner (what they billed, what was deducted, their split rate, the final number) plus one summary page for her bookkeeper.
Rules like 60% on treatments and 70% on product sales are set once and remembered. Nothing leaves her computer.
